Physical Therapists
Christopher M. Jobeck, DPT, MS, COMT, OCS, MGS
Dr. Jobeck has been practicing physical therapy since 1999. His education includes an undergraduate degree from Temple University, Master of Science in physical therapy from Columbia University and a Clinical Doctoral degree from Temple University. He received his manual therapy certification (COMT) in 2002 and became board certified through the American Physical Therapy Association as an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS) in 2006. Chris is also certified in ASTYM (tissue mobilization technique) and as a Master Golf performance specialist.
Chris has continued his training by becoming a certified instructor in the Sportsmetrics jump program. This program has shown positive results in preventing ACL injury while enhancing an athlete’s performance. He has been at The Orthopedic Center’s physical therapy facility since its inception in 2005. His treatment focus is orthopedics with a special interest in spinal dysfunction using a manual therapy base. Chris also has a strong interest in sports medicine with focus on recovery and injury prevention.
Cordia Reilly, DPT, MS
Dr. Cordia Reilly is a Physical Therapist who has been working at The Orthopedic Center in Easton, MD. She has been a Physical Therapist for 9.5 years and as a Physical Therapist licensed by the State of Maryland, she evaluates and treats those with various orthopedic conditions including sports-related injuries as well as lateral hip pain. Cordia attended Chesapeake College before transferring to Salisbury University to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and her Health Fitness Instructor Certification through the ACSM. She then earned her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She enjoys working with people in all age groups including pediatrics and provides a customized treatment plan incorporating the goals of the patient. Cordia has experience in working with the Selective Functional Movement Assessment, the Functional Movement Screen as well as manual therapy. Cordia is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. She is currently pursuing her certification in Functional Dry Needling. As a long-time resident, born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Cordia enjoys working with horses and traveling.
David Snow, PTA
David has been a licensed physical therapist assistant since 2005. He has been with The Orthopedic Center’s physical therapy center as he has progressed in his career. A Talbot County native, David also possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Wilmington College.
He enjoys working with joint replacement patients, learning new joint mobilization techniques and has a special interest in sports medicine.
Gordon Corbman, PTA
Gordon has been a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant since 2010. He is a Dorchester County native and has been with the University of Maryland Medical System as he has progressed in his career.
Gordon has worked with a variety of different types of problems such as amputees, stroke, and orthopedic patients. Gordon enjoys working with orthopedic patients and helping them as they progress through their injury.
Courtney M. Garrett, DPT, MS
Dr. Courtney Garrett has been practicing physical therapy since 2014. Courtney attended James Madison University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Studies with a concentration in Physical Medicine. She continued her education at the Medical College of Virginia where she earned her doctorate of physical therapy.
Courtney began her career in Richmond, Virginia where she worked in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. In 2017, she returned to her hometown on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and started working at The Orthopedic Center. Courtney love’s working in outpatient orthopedics and treating people of all ages. She believes strongly in educating and teaching her patients how to optimize and restore their function, move properly, and more efficiently. She is currently working towards certification as an orthopedic specialist and is interested in pursuing additional continuing education in treating sports related concussions. Outside of the clinic, Courtney is busy keeping up with her 3 and 4 year old children. She loves hiking, the beach, and traveling.
Carla M. Smith, PT
Carla Smith has been practicing physical therapy since 2000. Her education includes an undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and a Master of Science in physical therapy from Widener University. Throughout her career she primarily has worked with a neurologic clinical practice focus. Carla has extensive training with research-based interventions for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and is an LSVT BIG certified clinician and a Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR) trained clinician. She has strong interest in post-stroke rehabilitation, limb loss/amputee rehabilitation, and vestibular/balance rehabilitation. She enjoys the opportunity to utilize the latest technology in patient care that The Orthopedic Center offers which includes Lokomat robotic assisted gait trainer as well as the Guldmann lift system to help individuals at all functional levels have the opportunity to work towards their personal goals.
Lucinda C. Wakefield, PT
Lucinda has been a Physical Therapy Practitioner for over three decades. She has a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Philosophy. Her experience is expansive and varied to include areas of outpatient orthopedics, neurology, acute care, hospice, skilled nursing facilities, and home health, with a preference for the geriatric population.
Beginning her career when the field was less specialized has provided for broader exposure to the multiple aspects of therapy. Lucinda’s pass for physical therapy has inspired and sustained her throughout her career, reinforced by the humanities background and her love of literature and the arts.
Gregory M. Terry, PTA
Greg Terry, PTA graduated from Chesapeake College in 2009 with an Associate’s Degree in Science. He has worked for Shore Regional Health System since 2009. He has experience in treating neurological disorders like Stoke, Parkinson’s, MS, and orthopedic problems like Total Knee and Hip Replacements, back and neck pain, balance problems, and shoulder replacement therapy. Greg also has experience with using the Lokomat Robotic Assisted Gait Trainer and the Guldmann Lift System for body weight supported gait training.
Greg has a Bachelor’s Degree from Washington College in Business Administration, and is a coach of the Novice rowers for the Eastern Shore Community Rower, here in Easton MD.
Speech Therapists
Amy Beth Hellman, M.S., CCC/SLP
AmyBeth Hellman has been practicing speech therapy since 1995. Her education includes an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from West Virginia University (WVU). She holds a certificate of clinical competence from ASHA-American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed by the state of Maryland.
AmyBeth has joined the TOC Rehabilitation Services team in April 2021 where she brings vast experience working with both pediatrics and adults with developmental delays and acquired disorders to address a variety of speed/voice, language, cognitive and swallowing difficulties. She provides comprehensive evaluations and personalized functional treatment plans to achieve good patient outcomes. AmyBeth has specialty training in speech/voice disorders and holds a LSVT – Lee Silverman Voice Therapy certification. She enjoys working with a variety of people from pediatric families for Early Intervention services for speech/language development to adult families/caregivers to improve/maximize communication/cognitive/swallowing abilities for maximum independence, safety, self-confidence and quality of life.
Occupational Therapists
Mary G. Hynes, OT
Mary received her degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She began her career working at University of Virginia where she became interested in Rheumatology and Orthopedics. Then, worked at St. Margaret Memorial Hospital, a regional referral center for Rheumatic Diseases in Pittsburg, PA. She eventually returned to the shore to work for Memorial Hospital, now Shore Regional Health/UMMS. She has been a certified hand therapist since 2000. She is also certified level 1 Manual Therapy with Hawk Grips Tools. Mar is the only certified hand therapist serving the mid shore area. She enjoys working with orthopedic and rheumatologic patients of all ages.
